Youngstown State vs. George Washington 2012: Game time, TV schedule and more

Mike Lonergan begins his second season at GW with a home game against the Penguins from the Horizon League.

Jim Brown-US PRESSWIRE

Year Two of the Mike Lonergan era tips off at George Washington Saturday afternoon as the Colonials host Youngstown State at the Smith Center. Lonegan's second season will feature a mix of returning contributors and six newcomers to the program. Seniors Lasan Kromah and Dwyane Smith are expected to do much of the scoring on the offensive end. Saturday will also be the debut of Villanova transfer Isaiah Armwood, a key addition for the 2012-13 season.

In their 99th season of basketball, this is the Colonials first-ever meeting against Youngstown State. The Penguins went 16-15 last season and 10-8 in the Horizon League. They're projected to finish in the top-half of the traditionally competitive conference, and this may be their best team since joining the league a decade ago. Kendrick Perry is the team's go-to scorer, and he'll immediately provide a challenge for the Colonials' backcourt.

Tip from Foggy Bottom is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET. You can listen to the opener on 1500/820 AM and at FederalNewsRadio.com. A video stream is also available at RaiseHigh.tv.
