The BB&T Classic tips-off Sunday when the George Washington Colonials face the Manhattan Jaspers in a non-conference men's basketball game at the Verizon Center (12:15 p.m. ET on MASN).
George Washington (3-3) is looking to get above the .500 mark for the first time this season.
The Colonials are coming off a thrilling 54-53 victory over James Madison on Wednesday. Freshman Kevin Larsen and Joe McDonald paced George Washington in scoring with 12 points, Laren added a game-best nine rebounds.
Overall, senior forward Isaiah Armwood is George Washington's top scorer and rebounder with 11. 5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. Senior guard Lasan Kromah is averaging 10.8 ppg.
Meanwhile, the Jaspers (2-3) will play the Colonials for the first time since 2000-01. Before that, the last time these two programs met was in '55-56.
Manhattan has won two of its last three games, the last being a 65-58 victory over the Fordham Rams. Senior George Beamon leads the Jaspers in scoring (19.3 ppg) over the last three games.
