The George Washington Colonials will have to wait again to pick up their tenth win of the season, as they went down to the Charlotte 49ers on Wednesday night 72-62. The Colonials trailed just 38-33 at halftime, but they weren't able to get enough going offensively to overtake their A10 opponent. George Washington still holds the final spot in the A10 tournament for now, but with three games left their hold on that spot could slip away.
Tony Taylor led the Colonials in scoring in the loss with 14 points while David Pellom picked up a double-double off the bench with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Chris Braswell ended the nigh with 19 points, scoring just 5 points in the second half and leading the 49ers in scoring. Javarris Barnett also picked up 18 points in the victory while DeMario Mayfield nearly notched a double-double with 15 points and 9 rebounds.
