The Georgetown Hoyas hold a 5 point lead over the Memphis Tigers at halftime in the Maui Invitational. Memphis jumped out to an early 7-2 lead over the Hoyas, but Georgetown battled back to regain the lead. The Hoyas went on a 17-2 run in the first half to take and hold on to the lead heading into halftime.
Guard Will Barton led the way for Memphis, scoring 14 points in the first half. For the Hoyas, guard Jason Clark was able to sink 17 points in the effort to battle back from the early deficit. Markel Starks also score 10 points in the first half as the Hoyas will look to continue their strong run after halftime. The Hoyas are battling for fifth place in the Invitational.
