The Georgetown Hoyas (4-1) host the IUPUI Jaguars (2-4) on Monday night at Verizon Center in their return from Hawaii, where they finished No. 5 in the Maui Invitational Tournament with wins against the host Chaminade Silverswords and the then-No. 8 Memphis Tigers. Five days have passed since the Hoyas took down Memphis, allowing them plenty of time for travel, rest, and practice prior to Monday's meeting with the Jaguars, the second in history and first since 1999.
Jason Clark paces Georgetown with 19 points per game on 52.2 percent shooting and ranks No. 5 in the Big East in three-point accuracy (46.7 percent). Senior center Henry Sims stuffs the stat sheet to the tune of 13.4 points, 6.2 boards, 4.2 assists, and 1.6 blocks per game for John Thompson III's club.
IUPUI defeated the Texas Southern Tigers, 74-55, in its last game to end a four-game losing streak. The backcourt of Alex Young and Stephen Thomas leads the Jaguars with 27.3 points per game, albeit on just 38.8 percent shooting.
