Georgetown Vs. Alabama: Hoyas To Battle No. 12 Crimson Tide In Tuscaloosa

Georgetown visits No. 12 Alabama squad Thursday night in Tuscaloosa.

The Georgetown Hoyas (5-1) take a trip to Tuscaloosa to visit the No. 12 Alabama Crimson Tide (7-0) on Thursday night. Georgetown puts its three-game winning streak on the line and claim another upset of a top-25 team, while Alabama will look to stay undefeated.

Monday night, Georgetown put away the IUPUI Jaguars, 81-58, at Verizon Center. Hollis Thompson led all scorers with 21 points on 9-of-15 shooting, while Nate Lubick scored eight points and hauled in a game-high 14 boards. Georgetown limited IUPUI to 35 percent shooting from the field and 16.7 percent shooting from three-point range.

The Crimson Tide ran its record to 7-0 with its 72-64 win against the Va. Commonwealth Rams on Sunday. Alabama, which trailed by one at halftime, outscored the Rams by a 40-31 margin in the second half to pull away. Senior power forward JaMychal Green dominated in the contest, tallying game-highs with 21 points and 14 boards. He tied two Alabama teammates for the game lead in blocked shots, with two.

Tipoff between Georgetown and Alabama is set for Thursday evening at 9:30 Eastern. ESPN2 will have the national telecast.
