Howard Vs. Georgetown Final Score: Hoyas Walk Away Despite Howard Push, 62-48

The Georgetown Hoyas walked away with a victory over the Howard Bisons, 62-48, despite a late surge by the Bisons that saw them nearly take the lead. Early on, the Hoyas jumped out to a 17-0 lead before Howard even got on the scoreboard. The Hoyas took the pedal off the gas a bit, taking a 30-17 lead at halftime.

After halftime, something happened to Howard during the break, as they jumped on the Hoyas and push back and climb within four points early in the second half. The Hoyas put the hammer down however, and eventually pulled away not allowing Howard to get back in the game. Forward Otto Porter led the Hoyas in points, scoring 13, with both Jason Clark and Hollis Thompson adding another 12 points each. Howard was led by forward Mike Phillips, who scored 14 points and had 4 rebounds.
