NJIT Vs. Georgetown: Hoyas Roll To Blowout Win, 84-44

The Georgetown Hoyas took on the NJIT Highlanders today looking to keep up the momentum from their win over Alabama. The Hoyas were able to stroll to an easy 42-28 lead at halftime. The Hoyas went on a 14-2 run before NJIT called a timeout to catch a breather, but the Hoyas continued to pour it on.

The second half started how the first did, with the Hoyas opening up with an 18-0 run before the Highlanders sank a shot. The Hoyas defense limited NJIT to just 16 points in the second half. Forward Hollis Thompson had a nice day with 20 points, including going six for eight from three-point range. Forward Michael Hopkins also picked up 12 points from the bench. Guards Ryan Woods and Isaiah Wilkerson led the way for NJIT with 16 and 15 points, respectively.
