Georgetown Vs. South Florida: Hoyas Lead By Only 2 At Halftime

The top teams having been falling throughout the Big East today. You probably weren't surprised when St. Johns defeated the No. 4 Pittsburgh Panthers earlier. After all, the Red Storm have already beat Connecticut, Duke, and Georgetown this season at Madison Square Garden. But the West Virginia Mountaineers beating the No. 8 Notre Dame Fighting Irish came out of nowhere.

Might the No. 9 Georgetown Hoyas join the Panthers, Irish, and No. 3 Texas Longhorns as top 10 teams to fall today? Its not beyond the realm of possibility, as the Hoyas lead by only two points over the South Florida Bulls at halftime.

The Hoyas have held the Bulls to just 29% shooting, but Georgetown has been out-rebounded 17-13 and have six turnovers in the first half.

Chris Wright is leading all scorers with 12 points so far, while Augustus Gilchrest has 11 points and 4 rebounds for the Bulls.

South Florida has led by as many as seven points in this back-and-forth game.
