Unlike the previous game against the No.4 Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Cincinnati Bearcats, the No. 14 Louisville Cardinals and Marquette Golden Eagles are playing a much closer game.
Louisville leads Marquette 36-31 at halftime.
Mike Marra has 11 points off of the bench for the Cardinals. Kyle Kuric has nine points and four rebounds, while Peyton Siva and Preston Knowles each have six points. For Marquette, Jae Crowder has eight points off of the bench, while Jimmy Butler has seven points and four rebounds.
Marquette took an early 11-2 lead, but it was short-lived as Louisville took the lead at 14-13 about three minutes later. The teams would trade leads for a few minutes before the Cardinals took control for good at 18-17.
Neither team is shooting particularly well. Louisville shot 39.4 percent and Marquette shot 32.1 percent. Marquette kept themselves in the game by hitting 11 free throws to Louisville's four.
