NCAA Tournament Update: Georgetown, VCU Tied At 15 Midway Through First Half

The No. 6 seed Georgetown Hoyas and No. 11 Virginia Commonwealth Rams are tied at 15 halfway through the first half in tonight's second to last first round match-up.

After the Planes, Trains and Automobiles travel schedule of the Rams, I'm shocked they are even tied. VCU of course defeated the USC Trojans on Wednesday eveing in the last of the "First Four" games, and quickly had to turn it around to face the Hoyas on Friday.

Despite what I would assume would be sheer exhaustion, the Rams have been active and effective with their pressing defense to start the game.  Every pass has been challenged, and Georgetown has been inconsistent at best in making the right decision against the VCU pressure.

Chris Wright returned from his wrist injury and first scored at the 15 minute mark, and now and has four points in the first 10 minutes of play (and if Dr. Doyle may say so, he looks just fine to me).  Austin Freeman and Hollis Thompson had chipped in with 4 and 5 points, respectively, for the Hoyas.
