March Madness Update: UConn Survives Arizona, Heads To Final Four

The Connecticut Huskies were picked to finish 10th in the Big East preseason poll. Now, they are heading to the Final Four. The Huskies survived a furious rally from Arizona in the Elite Eight to win 65-63 and punch its ticket to Houston.

The Wildcats had two chances to win the game in regulation, but Derrick Williams missed a three-pointer at the top of the key. Kyle Fogg grabbed the rebound, and kicked it out to Jamelle Hill, who had a very good look from the right corner. However, his shot went in and out, and time ran out during the scramble.

Kemba Walker scored 20 points to lead UConn, including a stepback jumper that ultimately provided the final margin. Jeremy Lamb added 19 points, carrying UConn at many points. Williams led Arizona with 20 points, but struggled at times against UConn's length inside. Neither team shot really well from the field, but UConn did just enough to get the win.
