Georgetown Vs. St. John's: Hoyas Head To Big Apple To Battle Red Storm

The Georgetown Hoyas (13-3, 3-2 Big East) look to snap a two-game losing streak when they take on the St. John's Red Storm (8-8, 2-3) Sunday afternoon at Madison Square Garden.

The Georgetown Hoyas (13-3, 3-2 Big East) look to snap a two-game losing streak when they take on the St. John's Red Storm (8-8, 2-3) Sunday afternoon at Madison Square Garden. Tipoff is scheduled for 12:00 noon ET, and the game can be seen on MASN and ESPN3.

The No. 11 Hoyas had won 11 straight games before suffering back-to-back conference losses to West Virginia last Saturday (74-62) and Cincinnati on Wednesday (68-64). The loss to the Bearcats was particularly deflating, as the Hoyas turned the ball over 17 times, including seven times in the final few minutes, and made just one field goal in the last six minutes of the loss.

The up-and-down Red Storm are led by freshman guard D'Angelo Harrison (15.6 ppg, 4.1 rpg) and freshman forward Moe Harkless (15.4 ppg, 8.4 rpg). Harkless is currently the leader in the clubhouse for Big East Freshman of the Year.

The Hoyas and Red Storm have split their last six meetings, with the home team winning each contest. This year, St. John's is 0-6 against ranked opponents, the worst mark in the country.
