Georgetown Vs. DePaul: Hoyas Visit Blue Demons, Continue Big East Schedule

Georgetown (14-3, 4-2) snapped its two-game losing streak Sunday. It looks to gain some momentum Tuesday when it takes on DePaul (10-7, 1-4).

The No. 10 Georgetown Hoyas (14-3, 4-2 Big East) visit the Windy City to take on the DePaul Blue Demons (10-7, 1-4) as their Big East schedule continues Tuesday evening. The Hoyas have dominated the Blue Demons in recent years, winning each of the last 10 meetings between the teams, including five straight victories away from home.

Georgetown crushed the St. John's Red Storm on Sunday, 69-49, to end a two-game losing streak. Sunday's game marked the 10th time this season the Hoyas held an opponent to fewer than 60 points. Hollis Thompson scored 20 points on 7-of-13 shooting to lead Georgetown, while Jason Clark stuffed the stat sheet with 15 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists. Red Storm swingman Maurice Harkless led all players with 21 points and 10 rebounds, but his contributions weren't nearly enough for St. John's to avoid defeat.

DePaul's losing streak has reached three games following its most recent defeat, a 76-59 blowout against the Louisville Cardinals. The Blue Demons shot just 34.3 perent in defeat and allowed three Cardinals to score in double-figures. However, each of DePaul's three consecutive losses came away from home, where it is 1-1 against Big East opponents in the 2011/12 season.

Tipoff between Georgetown and DePaul is set for 7 Eastern on ESPN2.
