NCAA Basketball Rankings: Georgetown Ranked No. 9 By AP, No. 10 By Coaches

The Hoyas are ranked in the top 10 after wins against DePaul and Rutgers last week.

Coming off a week that included Big East Conference wins against DePaul and Rutgers, the Georgetown Hoyas were slotted at No. 9 in the Associated Press rankings and No. 10 in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches rankings on Monday.

The Hoyas are out of action this work week, but will travel to Pitt this Saturday. The Panthers are 0-7 in Big East play and have lost eight games in a row.

Elsewhere in the Big East, previously undefeated Syracuse fell to No. 3 in the AP poll and No. 4 in the Coaches poll. Marquette checks in at No. 17 in the AP poll and No. 18 in the coaches poll while Connecticut has a bit of a gap between its rankings, coming in at No. 24 in the AP poll but No. 19 in the Coaches poll.
