Georgetown Vs. Pitt: Hoyas Upset By Panthers, 72-60

Georgetown came away a 72-60 loser against Pittsburgh on Saturday at the Petersen Events Center.

The Hoyas (16-4, 6-3) shot 42.1 percent from the field and got double-figure scoring from Otto Porter (14 points), Hollis Thompson (11 points) and Henry Sims (10 points). The Panthers (13-9, 2-7) were simply too hot from the field, however, and coasted to victory by shooting 52.1 percent from the field and outrebounding their opponents 33-22 on the afternoon.

Nasir Robinson did much of the damage for Pitt, finishing with 23 points and eight rebounds. Lamar Patterson and Ashton Gibbs had 18 and 13 points, respectively, and Talib Zanna just missed out on a double-double, finishing with eight points and 10 rebounds.

The Hoyas are next in action on Wednesday when they host Connecticut at the Verizon Center at 7 p.m.
