Georgetown Vs. West Virginia: Hoyas Take 11-Game Winning Streak To Morgantown

The ninth-ranked Georgetown Hoyas (13-1, 3-0) put their 11-game winning streak on the line Saturday when they travel to Morgantown to take on the West Virginia Mountaineers (11-4, 2-1) in a Big East battle.

The ninth-ranked Georgetown Hoyas (13-1, 3-0) put their 11-game winning streak on the line Saturday when they travel to Morgantown to take on the West Virginia Mountaineers (11-4, 2-1) in a Big East battle. The Hoyas have lost four straight games to the Mountaineers.

Georgetown lost in their last visit to Morgantown, a 81-68 defeat in March of 2010. The Hoyas have not won on West Virginia's home floor since January of 2008, a 58-57 victory when Georgetown was coincidentally also ranked No. 9 in the country.

Georgetown is coming off an impressive 73-70 victory of No. 20 Marquette on Wednesday at the Verizon Center. Behind the play of Hollis Thompson and Jason Clark, the Hoyas rallied from a 17-point second half deficit to defeat the Golden Eagles.

West Virginia is not ranked in the Top 25, but as always Bob Huggins' team is dangerous, especially playing at the Coliseum. Seniors guard Darryl Bryant (18.0 ppg, 3.1 apg) and forward Kevin Jones (19.6 ppg, 11.6 rpg) lead the Mountaineers. Jones is currently the Big East scoring leader.
