Bracketology 2012: Georgetown, George Mason Slotted To Square Off

ESPN's Joe Lunardi has released his latest version of Bracketology, and he predicts local teams will clash in the Round of 64.

Georgetown is slotted as the No. 3 seed in the West Region, and as things stand now, is expected to face George Mason, the No. 14 seed in Columbus, Ohio. Other big names in the region are No. 1 seed Ohio State, No. 2 Baylor, No. 4 Florida, No. 5 Gonzaga and No. 6 and undefeated Murray State. The teams that make the regional finals in the West will head to Phoenix.

Virginia and Virginia Tech also earn their ways into Lunardi's bracket. The Cavaliers are currently a projected No. 5 seed in the Midwest Region and slotted to play No. 12 seed Belmont in Portland. Top seeds in that region include No. 1 Kentucky, No. 2 Michigan State, No. 3 Missouri and No. 4 Connecticut.

The Hokies are picked to face Cincinnati in a First Four game for the right to play Gonazga in the West Region.
