The Georgetown Hoyas broke into the top 25 of both the USA Today Coaches Poll and the AP Poll on Monday after winning two of their three games this past week. The Hoyas are ranked No. 20 by the AP voters and No. 25 by the coaches.
The Hoyas are 4-1 on the season with their only loss coming in overtime to the No. 1 Indiana Hoosiers Tuesday night.
It was a strong week for Georgetown, which started on Monday, Nov. 19, when the Hoyas beat the UCLA Bruins, who were ranked No. 11 at the time, 78-70. The Hoyas picked up their first loss of the season the next night, when they fell in overtime to the nation's top team, 82-72, in the championship game of the Legends Classic Championship at Brooklyn's Barclays Center.
Georgetown closed out the week with a 73-50 home victory over the Mount St. Mary's Mountaineers on Sunday.
The No. 25 Hoyas return to action on Friday, Nov. 30, when they host the Tennessee Volunteers at the Verizon Center. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET.
