The Georgetown Hoyas are ranked as the No. 15 team in the Associated Press Top 25 poll and No. 21 in the coaches poll. Both rankings were updated on Monday afternoon.

In the Associated Press poll, the team managed to retain control of the No. 15 spot. Currently with a 7-1 overall record, the team managed to defeat Towson last week by a final score of 46-40.

While that victory managed to keep the team at status quo in the AP Poll, it helped boost their standing two spots in the Coaches' Poll. Previously standing at No. 23, the team jumped over Oklahoma State and slid ahead of Kentucky for No. 21 overall. Minnesota previously held the No. 21 position, but managed to increase their standing by five spots to No. 16.

In terms of the top of the rankings, the top nine positions remained unchanged in the Coaches' Poll, while the top four spots remaininh consistent in the AP list. Indiana remains the consensus No. 1 team in both polls.
