The Georgetown Hoyas are poised to win their 10th game of the season, and seventh straight, as the Hoyas currently lead the American University Eagles at halftime, 40-25.

Otto Porter led the Hoyas in the first half, and leads all scorers so far, with 11 points. Porter also grabbed six rebounds and is 4 of 5 shooting -- including 2 of 3 from three-point range.

Greg Whittington added eight points for the Hoyas by making all three of his shots -- including a three-pointer.

Daniel Munoz leads all Eagles scorers through the first half with eight points. Munoz also added two assists and a rebound.

As a team, Georgetown shot an astounding 57.7% in the first half, while American was held to just 34.5% shooting. The discrepancy in shooting percentage is perhaps the reason why Georgetown is leading by 15 after the first half.

Georgetown is also winning the rebound game, but barely, as the Hoyas have snagged 15 rebounds compared to American's 14.
