Even as the Syracuse Orange prepare for their ACC future, they can't help but remain vigilant in defense of their Carrier Dome from Georgetown Hoyas-related forces.
Syracuse and Georgetown will renew their legendary Big East rivalry, perhaps for one of the last times, next Wednesday in the Dome. However, Orange fans aren't waiting around for the day-of to make sure they're present and accounted for. They've already started camping outside the stadium in "Boeheimburg."
It's not without good reason. 24,000 tickets were already sold by early January, and that was before it was clear that this could be the match-up of top ten teams by the time it happens. While it might not break the record of 34,616, expect attendance to be well-over 30K for this one.
You'll want to keep an eye on Georgetown blog Casual Hoya and Syracuse blog Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician leading up to this one. It could get ugly. Then again, it's a Georgetown-Syracuse game, that's pretty much a given.
