NCAA Bracket 2012: Virginia To Play Florida In First Round

After landing the No. 10 seed in the 2012 NCAA Tournament, the Virginia Cavaliers will be playing 7-seeded Florida to kick things off in the first round. The Cavaliers were considered a lock for an at-large bid from the tournament's selection committee after turning in a 22-9 record during the regular season.

The Cavaliers bowed out in their first game at the ACC Tournament in Atlanta, losing 67-64 to North Carolina State. With a full week of rest, the Cavaliers will now begin their postseason march against Florida.

The Florida Gators defeated Alabama in the quarterfinals of the SEC tournament but were bounced out by Kentucky in semifinals in New Orleans. The Gators finished up their regular season with a 23-10 record and a 10-6 SEC record, falling twice to Kentucky in the regular season and then one more time in the conference tournament. Coming into the matchup with Virginia, the Gators will have lost four of their last five games.
