Big East Tournament 2012, Georgetown Vs. Cincinnati Halftime Score: Hoyas Playing Well, Lead 30-24

Things are going according to plan in the early going for the Georgetown Hoyas, who are on their way to improving their NCAA Tournament seed and moving on to the Big East Tournament semifinals. They lead the Cincinnati Bearcats 30-24 at halftime, and they're putting together a complete performance against a quality opponent so far.

Georgetown has done well to spread the ball around; they're shooting 46 percent from the floor and they have 30 points, but no one has more than eight points. Henry Sims and Hollis Thompson are Georgetown's joint-leading scorers. Yancy Gates leads the Bearcats in scoring, and he also has eight points.

John Thompson's team is winning on the boards and in the turnover margin, and they are a big unlucky to only be up six points. If they continue to win those battles while Cincinnati continues to struggle with their outside shooting, that six-point lead will expand.
