Georgetown vs. Marquette: Game time, TV schedule and more

The Georgetown Hoyas kick off the Big East season in Milwaukee against a Marquette team that was already won its conference opener.

USA TODAY Sports

Winners of seven straight, the No. 15 Georgetown Hoyas are riding high coming into their game Saturday against the Marquette Golden Eagles. Though they haven't played since Dec. 22, the Hoyas' only loss this season was in overtime to then-No. 1 Indiana.

Marquette, meanwhile, is coming off a thrilling -- albeit controversial -- overtime win against Connecticut on New Year's Day to start its Big East season.

Georgetown was 12-6 in the Big East last year and will open conference play in Milwaukee against a Golden Eagles team that beat them to wrap up the regular season a year ago. Otto Porter had 19 points on 9-11 shooting in that game to lead the Hoyas.

This year, Porter is Georgetown's top scorer (13.2 points per game) and rebounder (7.7 per game), with Greg Whittington just behind him in both categories. Whittington scores 12.5 per contest and grabs 7.4 boards.

The Golden Eagles are led by Vander Blue, who averages 13.3 points per game and has scored in double figures in six of Marquette's last seven games. Junior Cadougan and Davante Gardner both scored 18 for the Golden Eagles against Connecticut.

Game time: 2 p.m. ET

TV schedule: MASN, ESPN3
