This one is from the (not so) breaking news department.
↵According to Patrick Stevens at D1scourse, Danny O'Brien now sits alone as the top QB on Maryland's depth chart. Until now he had shared the position with Jamarr Robinson. This move is not a surprise because O'Brien has actually started the last three games for the Terps. Two of those came while Robinson was injured, but I don't think anyone actually thought that he would return to claim his starting spot.
↵Everything I've read suggests that the coaches absolutely love O'Brien and were trying to find a reason to start the red-shirt Freshman over Robinson. The injury was exactly the type of opportunity they needed to leapfrog O'Brien over Robinson into the top spot. Now that he has proven that he can play at this level the coaching staff has made the move official. From here on out the Terps will be looking ahead to the future with their quarterback selection.
