Maryland's offense is clearly getting the job done against a porous Wake Forest defense. For the third straight drive, the Terps were able to put points on the board, and they now lead 17-7.
This time, it was wide receiver Quintin McCree who got the points on the board. McCree made an outstanding diving catch on a Danny O'Brien throw in the end zone, hauling in the 28-yard catch for the touchdown. Wake Forest was called for a pass interference on the play, which was declined. It's McCree's first touchdown as a member of the Terps.
Maryland got a couple big runs from Da'Rel Scott on the drive, and also got a key 14-yard catch from Kevin Dorsey to keep the drive going. O'Brien is now 7-10 for 83 yards and two touchdowns. Since missing Torrey Smith on an easy touchdown pass early in the game, O'Brien has been pretty much perfect. His touch on the touchdown pass to McCree made the play as much as McCree's diving catch.
