Maryland Vs. N.C. State: Terps Respond With a Score of Their Own, Trail NC State 14-7

The Terps have finally responded with a touchdown of their own, cutting into the NC State lead at 14-7.

The drive was an efficient one for Danny O'Brien and the offense, as they cashed in a 9 play, 78 yard drive with a touchdown run from D.J. Adams.

The key play was a 35 yard catch and run by Maryland's speedster Torrey Smith. He caught the ball in stride and showed the Wolfpack why he is one of the best return men in the ACC, weaving past defenders to the NC State 9 yard line to set up a 1st and goal for Maryland. After a 7 yard catch by Will Yeatman, Maryland finished off the drive by running D.J Adams off the left side for the score.

Now that Maryland offense seems to have responded, Ralph Friegen must hope his defense can come through and contain Russel Wilson and the NC State offense which, through two drives, have had a lot of success against them.

If they can, Maryland will have a chance to stay in this game.
