Maryland Helps Florida State Reach ACC Championship

With Maryland's win over N.C. State today, you can't help but wonder what could have been.

If you've been following along in this space over the past several weeks, then you know that the Maryland Terrapins controlled their own destiny heading into their matchup against the Virginia Cavaliers three weeks ago. Wins against Virginia, Florida State, and N.C. State, and the Terrapins would be through to the ACC Championship.

The Terrapins won two out of three of those games, but a heartbreaking loss to the Seminoles in Byrd Stadium last week ruined their Championship hopes. And to think it all could have been different if not for a few bad bounces and one truly bad call.

Oh well. Either team would probably get killed by Virginia Tech in the Championship Game anyway.
