Maryland Vs. Miami: Hurricanes Get A Field Goal To Cut Terps' Lead To 17-15 At Halftime

Miami's special teams have been a real problem for them today against Maryland, with two missed extra points. This time, though, the unit came through. Matt Bosher nailed a 34-yard field goal with less than a minute in the first half, cutting Maryland's lead to 17-15.

It looked like Maryland would get a key stop on this drive. Miami had third and 13 deep inside their own territory, but quarterback Stephen Morris found Travis Benjamin for a first down and much more. Thanks to some poor Maryland tackling, Benjamin was able to dance for a 48-yard gain down to the Terps' 20-yard line. Luckily for the Terps, Alex Wujciak broke up Morris' pass on third and six, forcing the Miami field goal.

Morris has now completed 7 of 12 passes for 162 yards and one interception. He's clearly erratic, but he also has a strong arm and can make plays on the move. Miami has really killed the Terps on the ground, with 133 yards rushing. As for the Terps, quarterback Danny O'Brien is struggling, completing just five of 16 passes on the day. Wujciak's interception return has been the difference.
