The Maryland Terrapins needed a convincing win to restore their confidence after several missed chances. On Wednesday night against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, they did just that.
Jordan Wiliams had yet another double-double of 13 points and 15 rebounds to lead the Terps to a 74-55 victory over Wake Forest for their first ACC win of the season.
Cliff Tucker led the Terps with 21 points off of the bench as three different Terps scored in double figures; Adrian Bowie added 12 points of his own.
Maryland didn't shoot particularly well (38.2% from the field, 17-33 from the free throw line), but Wake Forest played much worse. The Demon Deacons shot 31.7% from the field, led by Travis McKie's 13 points.
The Terps will take a break from conference play as they will face the No.7 Villanova Wildcats Saturday. Maryland returns to ACC action January 20 at home against the Virginia Tech Hokies.
