Maryland football offensive lineman Andrew Gonnella is still recovering from a gruesome knee injury suffered in the Terps' loss to Georgia Tech last Saturday. While he was in good spirits earlier, news has now come out that Gonnella had to go back to the hospital on Tuesday night because he suffered a blood clot. That's according to coach Randy Edsall, who announced the news in a press briefing.

Andrew Gonnella's recovery from a dislocated left knee encountered an early setback Tuesday night.
The Maryland left guard, who was injured in Saturday's 21-16 loss to Georgia Tech, was admitted to an area hospital after developing a blood clot.
Gonnella was on the ground for 14 minutes on Saturday and was eventually transported to an Atlanta hospital via ambulance. He will miss the rest of the 2011 college football season.
