Clemson Vs. Maryland Score Update: Terps Take Early Lead 7-3

Clemson took the opening kickoff from Maryland and marched right down the football field. The Clemson Tigers passed the ball just one time on their 13-play drive that began on their own 4-yard line. Andre Ellington carried the ball for 38 yards and freshman star wide receiver Sammy Watkins had a 33-yard carry on a reverse. Clemson's drive stalled on the 1-yard line however, and they were forced to settle for a field goal.

Maryland started the game with a new quarterback, C.J. Brown, who connected on his first four passes, but the Terps drive ultimately stalled out and they were forced to punt. Luckily for the Terps, Clemson fumbled the ensuing punt and Maryland recovered the ball. Two plays later, running back Davin Meggett punched the ball into the endzone on a 9-yard run.
