Maryland Vs. Florida State Score Update: Seminoles Lead Terrapins 17-3 At Halftime

The Maryland Terrapins have been pretty unimpressive on both sides of the ball today and Florida State is exactly as athletic and talented as we expected them to be. The result? The Seminoles lead the Terrapins 17-3 at the half.

It could be a lot worse, as Florida State scored very easily on their first two possessions of the game and it looked like they would continue to run away and hide. But The Terps defense stepped up and became a little bit more stout than they had been and held the Seminoles to just three points on the rest of their first half possessions.

The offense, however, has been stagnant throughout the game so far and has been unable to get much going. C.J. Brown has not been effective on the ground (thanks in large part to a potent effort by the Florida State defensive line) and we know how erratic he can be through the air. but the Terps put together a pretty long drive right before the half to get three points as the first half expired, so maybe that's something to build on.
