C.J. Brown Injury Update: Maryland QB Out After Helmet-To-Helmet Hit Vs. Florida State

The Maryland Terrapins will be forced to make a quarterback change after starter C.J. Brown came up woozy following a helmet-to-helmet hit in their game against Florida State. Brown was making a run and fell down to slide before being leveled by Nigel Bradham. Danny O'Brien, who began the season as the starter, replaced him.

The play was third down, and Brown had taken off and started running. Right before he began to slide, Bradham began to lean in. As he slid, Bradham's helmet slammed directly into Brown's, and Brown was on the floor for several minutes. It's difficult to tell whether the tackle was dirty or whether Bradham simply began his motion at an unfortunate time, but Bradham was penalized on the play.
