Tajh Boyd Injury Update: Clemson QB's MRI Negative, 'Questionable' For Next Weekend's Game Vs. Maryland

Clemson Tigers quarterback Tajh Boyd is apparently questionable for next week's game against the Maryland Terrapins after an MRI revealed no damage to his hip and came back negative. Boyd was carted off the field Saturday afternoon in the third quarter against Boston College with the apparent hip injury.

The Tigers went on to win 36-14, but Boyd was unable to return to the game. According to sources inside the Clemson locker room, Boyd was walking around the locker room much better after his MRI. If he is unable to go against Maryland, the Tigers have said that the starter would be Cole Stoudt, a true freshman who has only seen action in two games; in relief of Boyd against Boston College and in the season opener against Troy. He is 7-11 for 44 yards for the season. This would be a big drop-off for the Tigers as Boyd has been remarkable and is a Heisman Trophy contender.
