VIDEO: C.J. Brown Shows Wheels, Danny O'Brien Appears To Have Flat Tire

At this point, there is no clear answer who will start at quarterback next Saturday night when Maryland hosts the No. 8 ranked Clemson Tigers. What is certain is that backup quarterback C.J. Brown has speed, and given the edge, he can take the ball the distance. Video of Brown's 77-yard touchdown run from Saturday's Georgia Tech game after the jump.

Brown did not impress with his arm in the Georgia Tech (he threw a few truly awful passes), but he did rally the Terps offense when they appeared lifeless. Danny O'Brien came into the season with all the hype, and he is still a young player with a ton of potential. Perhaps Brown playing, and bringing the Terps back against the heavily favored Yellow Jackets, will motivate O'Brien.

No matter who starts, Brown should get some playing time. The quarterback's speed should be enough for Terp head coach Randy Edsall to find creative ways to get the ball in Brown's hands. Speed and explosion have been noticeably absent for the Terps. Brown showed he can provide both.
