Will it be Danny O'Brien or C.J. Brown at quarterback for the Maryland Terrapins when they welcome No. 8 Clemson to Byrd Stadium next Saturday night? The answer is: we won't know until game time. At least that's what coach Randy Edsall said when addressing the media on Sunday.
Via Patrick Stevens of the Washington Times:
Coach Randy Edsall said it "probably won't be until game time" before Maryland settles on either Danny O'Brien or C.J. Brown.
Well, settle on one of the two publicly, anyway.
"We’re going to evaluate that situation just like we evaluate all the positions on a week-to-week basis," Edsall said Sunday.
Both players were ineffective passing the ball in the Terps' 21-16 loss to Georgia Tech on Saturday, but at least Brown led a couple scoring drives and had a big play on the ground. Still, the thought of O'Brien not starting a game due to performance has to be a shock to Terps fans.
