Alex Twine Injury: Maryland Football Linebacker Won't Play Vs. Wake Forest

The injuries keep piling up for the Maryland football team. Coach Randy Edsall just announced, via Patrick Stevens of the Washington Times, that promising freshman linebacker Alex Twine will not make the trip to Winston-Salem when the Terps face Wake Forest on Saturday due to injury.

The team has not disclosed the specific injury, as it never does. However, Edsall did say that Twine will likely be able to play for Maryland in its season finale against North Carolina State on November 26.

The freshman linebacker excelled in Maryland's loss to Notre Dame, picking up 12 tackles and being named the ACC's rookie of the week. It is not immediately clear how the Terps will replace him on Sunday.
