Maryland Vs. Colorado Score Update: Terps Trail Buffs By 8 At Intermission

20 minutes is in the books from Puerto Rico, as the Maryland Terrapins trail the Colorado Buffaloes, 36-24 in the consolation bracket of the Puerto Rico Tip Off. The two teams are fairly evenly matched statistically -- Maryland is shooting 42.1 percent from the floor compared to 46.2 percent for Colorado; both teams have made three three-pointers; and neither squad has shot a large number more free throws than the other.

The main factor why CU holds the eight-point advantage is turnovers. Maryland has turned it over five times compared to just once by the Buffs, and CU has converted those five miscues into 10 easy points.

Sean Mosley leads all scorers with 9 points; Austin Dufault has netted 8 for CU through the first 20 minutes.

In opening round action Thursday, Wichita State beat Colorado 67-58 to send the Buffs to the losers' bracket, while Alabama easily dismissed the Terps, 62-42.
