The Maryland Terrapins didn't give up a touchdown on their opponents' opening drive for once. Instead, the touchdown happened on the second drive. Tanner Price found Cameron Ford for a two-yard strike, and Wake Forest leads, 7-0, with 5:17 left to go in the first quarter.
It looked like the Terps would hold Wake Forest to a field goal when Marcus Whitfield blew up an end around play to push Wake Forest back to the Terps' 16-yard line. But on second and goal, the Demon Deacons got a catch and run to the two-yard line. On third down, Price rolled to his left and threw across his body to Ford in the back of the end zone for the score.
