Maryland Vs. Wake Forest Score Update: Missed Opportunities Haunting Terps, Who Trail, 7-0

We've played one quarter in Winston-Salem, and Wake Forest leads Maryland, 7-0. The Terrapins are actually playing one of the stronger quarters of the season -- though that isn't saying much -- but missed opportunities have cost the Terps in this quarter.

On the Terps' first drive, they had a fourth and two from inside the 35-yard line. Maryland prepared to go for it, but a false start penalty pushed the ball back five yards and forced a punt. On the Terps' next drive, Davin Meggett erupted for a 47-yard run, but no points resulted when kicker Nick Ferrara pushed a 32-yard field goal wide.

The Demon Deacons' touchdown came on their second drive of the game. On third and goal, Tanner Price rolled out and found Cameron Smith across the middle of the field for the touchdown.
