The Maryland Terrapins are in the midst of a lackluster 2-6 start to their season. They're going to hope to make a statement against the visiting Virginia Cavaliers, who are 5-3 and coming off a win against the Miami Hurricanes. When these teams met last season, the Terps came away with an easy win, but it's a different story this year, and Virginia comes to town as the favorites in this one.
Maryland will be sporting fancy all-new uniforms in this game, and perhaps that will keep them motivated. They are coming off of their second win of the season, but on the other hand, if they hadn't been able to knock off the Towson Tigers, they'd be even more worried than they already are. The number one adjective used to describe the Terps this season has been "struggling," and it's certainly been apt most of the time. They're trying to get back on the right track this week.
