2011 Bowl Projections: Orange Bowl Likely To Feature Clemson, West Virginia

It is not official yet, but it appears that the 2012 Orange Bowl will pit ACC champion Clemson against Big East champion West Virginia. The Tigers defeated Virginia Tech, 38-10, in the ACC Championship Game on Saturday, while West Virginia edged South Florida on Thursday to get into a three-way tie for the Big East championship. The tiebreaker comes down to the three teams' BCS rankings, which should favor the Mountaineers.

West Virginia is currently tied with Cincinnati and Louisville, but West Virginia was the only one of the three who was ranked in the latest BCS Standings. That'll probably happen again when the final ones come out on Sunday night.

Game date, time: 8 p.m. ET, Jan. 4

Location: Miami, Florida

TV channel: ESPN

2010 winner and loser: Stanford, Virginia Tech
