The 2011 Belk Bowl will pit North Carolina State against Louisville. The Wolfpack are out of the ACC, where they finished 7-5 and 4-4 in the conference. Louisville, meanwhile, finished 7-5 and in a three-way tie for first place in the Big East, but lost the tiebreaker to West Virginia.
The Wolfpack got off to a slow start this season, but rallied late and became bowl-eligible with a 56-41 comeback win over Maryland, a game in which they trailed 41-14 at one point. Louisville, meanwhile, finished even stronger, winning five of their last six games.
