After a solid performance in the first half, the Terps go into the locker room ahead 40-32 over the Demon Deacons.
Maryland showed good balance on offense this half, as they had contributions from up and down the roster. It was a major positive to see someone other than Jordan Williams score on a consistent basis. That being said, Williams still scored 9 points to go along with 4 rebounds. THe other contributions came from Adrian Bowie and Haukur Palsson, who each scored 7 points in the half, and from PeShon Howard and Cliff Tucker, who combined for 11 points.
After a disappointing home loss to Duke, Maryland has come out strong in the first half against the Demon Deacons. Although Wake isn't one of the strongest teams in the ACC, it's still good to see Maryland come out with enthusiasm and intensity after a bitter defeat.
Going into the second half, the Terps will need to continue to find balance in their offense. If they can get guys like Dino Gregory and Terrell Stoglin going, they can pick up a much needed home ACC victory to carry them into the last half into their conference schedule.
