ACC Tournament 2011: Boston College Rolling Over Wake Forest, 47-31, At Halftime

Boston College has wasted little time to jump ahead of lowly Wake Forest in the first round of the ACC Tournament. The Eagles rode a 20-4 run midway through the first half to break the game open, and they now lead 47-31 at halftime of what essentially amounts to a gimmie game.

The Eagles are on fire from the field, nailing 58 percent of their field goals and 52 percent from three-point range. Biko Paris leads the way with 15 points, while ACC all-first team performer Reggie Jackson has chipped in with 14. The two players are a combined 11-14 from the field, with all five of Paris' field goals coming from behind the three-point line. Joe Trapani added 11 for the Eagles on 4-7 shooting.

Travis McKie leads Wake Forest with 13 points, but unless the Demon Deacons can get it in gear in the second half, their dreadful 2010/11 season will end. They only have one ACC win and are 8-23 on the season.

The winner will face No. 4 seed Clemson in the quarterfinals on Friday.
