ACC Tournament 2011: Virginia Tech Advances To Quarterfinals To Face Florida State

The Virginia Tech Hokies have advanced to the quarter finals of the ACC tournament after defeating Georgia Tech 59-43.

The game was dominated throughout by the Hokies, as Georgia Tech simply couldn't keep up as Virginia Tech got out to a big lead that they never relinquished.

The Hokies had three players in double figures, as Malcolm Delaney led the team with 15 points, followed up by Jeff Allen and Erick Green with 14 and 11 points, respectively.

The Hokies will now be moving on to face Florida State in a game that could be provide the final victory they need to clinch an NCAA tournament berth. It remains doubtful that FSU's best player,Chris Singleton, will be available to return from injury and play in tomorrows game. He was seen taking light warmups with the team today still in a walking boot and unless he has a miraculous recovery, the Hokies will not have to worry about him.
