ACC Tournament 2011: Maryland Trails Duke 42-33 At Halftime

The Maryland Terrapins are doing their best to keep up with the Duke Blue Devils tonight in the second round of the 2011 ACC Tournament. The Terrapins are playing the game at their own pace, pushing the ball quickly up the floor whenever they see an opportunity, but they trail the Blue Devils by nine points at halftime.

Maryland has had trouble guarding Duke's big men however. Mason Plumlee had eight points, eight rebounds, and three assists in the first half. Ryan Kelly has 11 points off the bench for the Blue Devils, converting all five of his field goal attempts, while Kyle Singler leads are scorers with 14.

Cliff Tucker has been an important component for Maryland in the first half, entering off the bench early as Dino Gregory and Sean Mosley each picked up fouls. Tucker has five points and has held Nolan Smith to just two points on 0-4 shooting. Meanwhile, Jordan Williams is well on his way to another double-double. He has 10 points and seven rebounds at halftime.
