The Duke Blue Devils are in complete control at halftime of the 2011 ACC championship game. The Blue Devils lead North Carolina, 42-28, at halftime, and now the Tar Heels need to rally again like they have in previous ACC Tournament games.
Nolan Smith has 10 points (on 11 shots, though), and Andre Dawkins has come off the bench to score nine to lead the Blue Devils. Duke scored the first eight points of the game and has led by as many as 18 points in the game. Tyler Zeller has nine points on five shots to lead the Tar Heels.
The Blue Devils have held Harrison Barnes in check in this game. One day after scoring 40 points in a semifinal win over Clemson, Barnes has struggled, shooting just 1-6 from the field. It honestly could have been worse for the Tar Heels had they not scored the final six points of the half.
The winner has the inside track for a No. 1 seed in the 2011 NCAA Tournament.
